Product Details
Diamond roller dressers are used for forming and dressing fired abrasive grinding wheels and CBN wheels. Since these dressers are capable of accurate and speedy form dressing, they can effectively be used to mass produce work parts with a high degree of accuracy. Diamond roller dressers are available in sintered and electroforming types.

Dressing methods and characteristics
Dressing methods are broadly divided two categories: Plunge dressing and Traverse dressing. These are selected accroding to thier respective characteristics to suite each use scene.
Plunge dressing
- Advantages
- This roller dresser is especially effective with high grinding wheel wear and a low number of grinds per dressing.
*Heavy grinding, shoulder grinding, etc. - Disadvantages
- Not compatible with varied shapes as the roller dresser and workpiece have the same shape.
Traverse dressing
- Advantages
- ・ Can accommodate workpieces with various shapes.
・ The dresser is compact and has a simple shape, making it more affordable.. - Disadvantages
- ・Dressing time is longer than when using the plunge method.
