The Asahi Diamond Group has established its Sustainability Policy as a set of fundamental principles to be observed across the following 10 areas, so that each and every executive and employee can put our management philosophy into practice, contribute to society through our business activities, and achieve sustainable growth together with our stakeholders.
Moving forward, we will continue to act appropriately by strictly adhering to corporate ethics and compliance to help realize a sustainable society and ensure the Group’s continued, sound development and growth.
Human rights
Respect for Human Rights and Prohibition of Discrimination
We respect the human rights of all people and do not discriminate on the basis of nationality, race, creed, age, gender, sexual orientation, social status, disability, or any other factor. Furthermore, we strive to eliminate discrimination in employment and to ensure equal opportunity and fair treatment.

Prohibition of Harassment
We respect the dignity and humanity of every individual, and we will not engage in any words or actions that deny these qualities, nor will we engage in any form of harassment (including sexual harassment, power harassment, and all other forms of harassment).
Prohibition of Forced Labor and Child Labor
We comply with labor laws and regulations in each country and region, and we eliminate forced labor—that is, labor performed under coercion or against one’s will—as well as child labor, defined as the employment of children under the minimum working age established by the laws and regulations of each country and region. We also require our business partners and other relevant parties to adhere to these standards.
Respect for Fundamental Labor Rights
We respect our employees’ fundamental labor rights, such as the right to organize and the right to collective bargaining, in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations of each country and region.

Prohibition of Bribery
In accordance with the relevant laws and regulations of each country and region, we will not provide, promise, offer, or demand any benefits—whether directly or indirectly—as consideration for favors to domestic and international customers, business partners, government officials, or others.
Moderate Entertainment, Gift-Giving, and Invitations
In conducting our global business operations, we will engage in hospitality, gift-giving, and invitations in a moderate manner, in accordance with the laws and regulations of each country and region and within the bounds of social norms. In particular, we will not provide hospitality, gifts, or invitations to public officials, whether domestic or international, that violate the laws and regulations of each country or region.
Partnership
We regard our business partners—including suppliers, contract manufacturers, and other business associates—as partners, and while respecting them, we engage in collaborative business activities while ensuring strict compliance with laws and regulations and providing guidance on improvements.

We will ensure thorough understanding of and strict compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies regarding the quality of our products and services, and we will properly fulfill our contractual obligations to our customers.

Fair Trade and International Trade
Fair Trade
We will comply with the laws and regulations of each country and region regarding fair competition and fair trade; we will not engage in any violations such as cartels, bid-rigging, or market division; and we will exercise due caution in our dealings with competitors, ensuring that our business activities are always conducted fairly.
Prohibition of Abuse of a Dominant Position
We will not engage in any conduct that causes disadvantage to our business partners, including subcontractors, by abusing our dominant position; we will comply with the Subcontracting Act and other relevant laws and regulations in each country and region, and maintain an equal relationship based on appropriate contracts.
Respect for Codes of Conduct in International Transactions
We will understand and comply with the laws, regulations, and other relevant rules of each country and region in our international transactions, and prevent misconduct before it occurs. We will also respect the religions, customs, cultures, and traditions of each country and region. In countries and regions where social expectations—such as those set forth in our International Code of Conduct—are not met, we will respect our International Code of Conduct to the greatest extent possible.
Compliance with Import and Export Laws and Regulations
We follow the appropriate procedures regarding the import and export of goods and technologies subject to regulations under the laws and regulations of various countries and regions. We verify that exported goods and technologies are not used for military purposes, such as the development of weapons, particularly weapons of mass destruction.
Non-Use of Conflict Minerals
We do not use conflict minerals suspected of being linked to armed groups or child labor, and we ensure the responsible sourcing of mineral resources.
Disclosure of information
Timely and Appropriate Disclosure of Information
We aim to achieve highly transparent management by disclosing important company information, including financial results, in a timely and appropriate manner in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and other requirements.
Ensuring the Accuracy of Financial Reports
We prepare and disclose financial statements in accordance with laws and regulations, corporate accounting principles, accounting standards, and other relevant guidelines to ensure that our financial position and operating results are presented accurately.
Ensuring the Accuracy of Tax Returns
We will acquire a thorough understanding of tax matters, accurately and completely record financial information for all transactions, and pay our taxes in full without falsifying figures or submitting false reports.
Prohibition of Insider Trading
We do not engage in trading of securities or other financial instruments based on material, undisclosed information regarding publicly listed companies or similar entities (insider trading). Furthermore, if we become aware of such corporate information, we will not disclose it to others until it is made public.
Asset Preservation and Management

We will thoroughly implement appropriate management practices to carefully protect and effectively utilize the company’s tangible and intangible assets, and we will not engage in any unauthorized use or personal misappropriation of these assets.

We recognize that the Company’s intellectual property rights are valuable assets, and we are committed to protecting those rights and utilizing them effectively. We also respect the intellectual property rights of others and strive to avoid infringing upon them.
Proper Management and Utilization of Information
We will make effective use of the company’s confidential information, confidential information of other companies obtained from business partners and others, and the personal information of customers, employees, and others, within the scope of the intended purposes. At the same time, we will manage and handle this information appropriately to prevent its unauthorized acquisition, unauthorized disclosure or use, and leakage outside the company.
Protection of Information Systems
We will implement defensive measures against threats on computer networks and strictly enforce security management to prevent harm to the company and others.
Duties of Officers and Employees
Compliance in Practice
As members of the international community, we recognize the importance of complying with the relevant laws, regulations, and other requirements of each country and region in connection with our business activities, and of acting in accordance with the values and ethical standards expected of corporate professionals; we will faithfully put this into practice. We will not issue any work instructions or orders that violate compliance standards.
Management Responsibility
We hereby establish that, as part of the social responsibility that management must fulfill, we will take the lead in complying with the laws and regulations of each country and region, as well as this Sustainability Policy, and will strive to ensure the proper operation and continuous improvement of internal controls.
Prohibition of Conflicts of Interest
We will not engage in any conduct that seeks to benefit ourselves or third parties, or that harms the Company’s interests, based on our position within the Company or information obtained in the course of our duties. Furthermore, we will not engage in any conduct that may conflict with the Company’s interests, nor will we assume any position that may result in such a conflict, without the Company’s approval in accordance with established procedures.
Response to Violations of Laws and Regulations
If, through our business activities, we detect any misconduct that violates laws, regulations, or internal policies—or any conduct that appears to be misconduct—we will promptly report it to our supervisor or the internal reporting office. We will then conduct an investigation, implement corrective measures, and take steps to prevent recurrence, while dealing strictly with any violations. Furthermore, we will not subject anyone who makes a report or cooperates with an investigation to any adverse treatment or retaliation on that basis.
Crisis Management and Business Continuity Planning
To protect the lives and physical safety of everyone associated with our company, we prepare emergency response measures based on various anticipated disasters and accidents, and ensure that all employees are fully informed of these measures. Furthermore, we are committed to implementing a business continuity plan to ensure the prompt resumption of business operations in the event of an unforeseen emergency.
