Cutting Tool Materials

SUNPAX® (sintered diamond)

Polycrystalline sintered product obtained by forming microcrystals of synthetic diamond under high temperature and high pressure simultaneously with a bonding agent. Mainly used as high-precision cutting and wear-resistant tools for nonferrous metals, non-metals, and composite materials.

SUNNITE® (PolycrystallineCBN sintered)

CBNA sintered body obtained by forming microcrystals of (cubic boron nitride) under high temperature and high pressure simultaneously with various bonding agents. It is mainly suitable for cutting hard-to-machine materials such as hardened steel and heat-resistant steel.

Diamond coating (chemical vapor deposition diamond)

A polycrystalline film formed as diamond by decomposing raw material gases containing carbon by CVD (chemical vapor deposition ), it has hardness and wear resistance equivalent to natural diamond and is applied to various tools.

Natural Diamonds

Natural diamonds are produced in a limited number of regions due to the conditions under which they are formed. Because it is a single crystal, it is used for ultra-precision cutting, combined with its sharpness of cutting edges, resistance to welding, and thermal conductivity.
