Cutting Tool Materials

Sanpax® (Diamond Sintered Body)

A polycrystalline sintered body produced by molding microcrystals of synthetic diamond together with a binder under high temperature and high pressure. It is primarily used as a high-precision cutting and wear-resistant tool for non-ferrous metals, non-metals, and composite materials.

SunNight® (PolycrystallineCBN Sintered Body)

CBNA sintered body produced by molding microcrystals of (cubic boron nitride) together with various binders under high temperature and high pressure. It is primarily suitable for machining difficult-to-machine materials such as quenched steel and heat-resistant steel.

Diamond Coating (Chemical Vapor Deposition Diamond)

This polycrystalline film is formed by decomposing carbon-containing feed gas using the chemical vapor deposition ( CVD ) process to create diamond. It possesses hardness and wear resistance equivalent to those of natural diamond and is used in various types of tools.

Natural Diamonds

Natural diamonds are limited in their regions of occurrence due to their formation conditions. Because they are single crystals, they are used for ultra-precision machining, thanks to their combination of characteristics such as cutting edge sharpness, resistance to welding, and thermal conductivity.
