Environmental Policy

1. Accurately assess the environmental impact of our products and activities.

2. We will promote environmental protection through the following initiatives:
   ・Product development that contributes to the realization of a sustainable global environment
   ・Reduction of global warming by reducing energy consumption
   ・Prevention of environmental pollution by reducing industrial waste and hazardous substances

3. Comply with relevant laws, regulations, and applicable requirements.

4. To achieve these goals, we will set environmental targets and work toward them as a team.

5. Continuously improve the environmental management system.

   We have established an EMS (Environmental Management System) and obtained ISO 14001 certification for all of our domestic plants, as well as for Yamanashi Asahi Diamond Industries Co., Ltd., Koremura Asahi Diamond Industries Co., Ltd., and our overseas subsidiary, Asahi Diamond Europe.Our flagship products—diamond tools—are widely adopted as environmentally friendly tools. In particular, our electroplated diamond wire “EcoMEP” significantly reduces greenhouse gas (CO₂) emissions during use compared to conventional free-grain abrasive methods. It is widely used in the manufacturing processes of environmentally friendly products, such as solar panels and sapphire substrates for LEDs, making a significant contribution to the environment.We are also promoting the manufacture of environmentally friendly products through our “Green Procurement Guidelines.” Furthermore, we are making company-wide efforts to reduce greenhouse gas (CO₂) emissions and are committed to medium- to long-term environmental measures, including providing environmental education and awareness programs for our employees.
