Diamond tools were first imported into Japan in 1907. Although there was virtually no demand or awareness of these products at the time, Asahi Diamond was founded in 1937 to support the rapid growth of industries such as the automotive and aerospace sectors. By 1944, the company had grown into a major manufacturer boasting the industry’s highest production volume and shipment volume, and to this day, it has continued to develop numerous new products that have had a significant impact on the industrial sector.
Since the 1960s, in addition to expanding our domestic infrastructure to meet growing demand, we have broadened our horizons to the global stage through competition with overseas products and a series of technical partnerships and technology transfers. Today, through our global network—comprising 18 sales offices in Japan and 11 overseas, as well as 4 manufacturing facilities in Japan and 14 overseas—we swiftly deliver cutting-edge tools tailored to each customer’s specific needs.
